I put in two AA batteries (not included to save you money on shipping) and it turns on just fine. I do not have any cords or cables or chargers for it. What you see in the picture is what comes with it there is what looks to be the rechargeable batteries on the battery port see photos. I don’t have a way to test them, but it definitely turns on with AA batteries. There are a few marks of where on the device but otherwise it looks like it’s in great shape
